Charlie Mataya

Charlie Mataya has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Charlie started their career as a Corporate Controller at Omni Facility Services, Inc., where they directed a corporate staff and oversaw the conversion and implementation of accounting software. Charlie then joined Power Efficiency Corp. as a Part-time Corporate Controller, ensuring SEC reporting compliance and preparing financial statements.

In 2002, Mataya became Vice President of Finance at Mikronite Technologies, Inc. Charlie played a key role in developing the business plan and operating model and helped secure a $5.3 million preferred stock and convertible debt offering.

Mataya then moved on to Ericsson, Inc. (formerly Telcordia Technologies, Inc.) as Director of External Financial Reporting. During their tenure, they held responsibility for external financial reporting.

From 2013 to 2015, Mataya worked as a Consultant (SEC Reporting Analyst) at Albemarle Corporation, formerly Rockwood Holdings, Inc. Charlie provided support during a period of acquisition and divestiture activity, preparing financial statements, conducting technical accounting research, and collaborating with auditors.

Charlie also served as a Consultant at Integra LifeSciences, working on SEC reporting and technical accounting. Mataya was responsible for SEC filings and developed an annual goodwill impairment analysis model.

Most recently, Mataya worked at Oncobiologics Inc. as the Director of Financial Reporting. Charlie assisted with the company's IPO preparations, managed the accounting and finance group, and developed and maintained policies and procedures.

Throughout their career, Mataya has demonstrated expertise in financial reporting, technical accounting, SEC compliance, and team leadership.

Charlie Mataya graduated from Rider College in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, focusing on Accounting. In 1997, they obtained the Certified Public Accountant certification from the New Jersey State Board of Accountancy. Later, in March 2013, they obtained the Chartered Global Management Accountant certification from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
