Brock Schweitzer

Senior Director, Pharma R&D at Oncocyte

Brock Schweitzer has been working in the field of pharmaceutical research and development since 2001. Brock started as a Graduate Assistant at the University of Cincinnati, where they researched the role of transcription factors PU.1 and Spi-C on B cell development. In 2007, they moved to Vanderbilt University where they served as a Postdoctoral Fellow, studying the role of post-translational modifications on the NF-kappaB signaling pathway in the immune system. Additionally, they served as Senior Adviser to the VUMC Postdoctoral Association Executive Committee from 2009-2010. In 2010, they joined Life Science Tennessee as a Member. In 2011, they became an Adjunct Faculty at Nashville State Community College. From 2012-2020, they worked at Insight Genetics Inc, where they served as Director of Research and Development, Associate Director of Research and Development, Primary Scientific Lead, Senior Scientist, and Scientist II. Most recently, they joined Oncocyte Corporation in 2020 as Director and Senior Manager of Pharma R&D.

Brock Schweitzer obtained their High School Diploma from Trinity High School between 1993 and 1997. Brock then earned their B.A. in Biology from Bellarmine University between 1997 and 2001. After that, they obtained their Ph.D. in Molecular Genetics from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine between 2001 and 2007. Additionally, they have obtained two certifications: a Special Analyst in Molecular Biology from the Tennessee Medical Board in 2013 and a Technologist in Molecular Biology from the American Society of Clinical Pathology in 2012.
