Shanet Oliver has a diverse work experience, beginning in 2012 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. There, they held the role of Clinical Research Associate, Laboratory Scientist, where they were involved in clinical lab science, research, and development in molecular genetics. Shanet also assisted in developing a new genetic tests to identify mutations in tumor cells for cancer patient therapy, performed high complexity molecular genetic clinical testing, and developed a new BCR-ABL- PCR test to help with the diagnosis of leukemia disorders. In 2015, Oliver moved to St. Thomas Hospital West, where they held the role of Clinical Laboratory Scientist. In 2017, they moved to HCA Healthcare, where they became Lab Manager. In 2021, they moved to Urology Associates, P.C., where they held the role of Laboratory Manager. Most recently, in 2022, Oliver joined Oncocyte Corporation, where they currently hold the roles of CLIA Lab Operations Director and CLIA Lab Services Director.
Shanet Oliver has a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Clinical Laboratory Science/Medical Technology/Technologist from Tennessee State University, a Master's degree in Business Administration and Management from Western Governors University, a Bachelor of Science - BS in Clinical Laboratory Science/Medical Technology/Technologist from Meharry Medical College, and a Master of Business Administration - MBA in Business Administration and Management, General from Western Governors University. Additionally, Oliver has obtained certifications in How to Train Your Brain for Maximum Growth from LinkedIn in March 2021, Certified Professional, Life and Health Insurance Program (CPLHI) from the State of Tennessee, and Medical Laboratory Scientist (ASCP-MLS) from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP).
