Paul Vichi

Co-founder, Chief Technology Officer & SVP at OncoGenesis

Paul Vichi has an extensive work experience in the biomedical field. Paul began their career in 1998 as an Assistant Professor of Biomedical Technologies at the University of Vermont, where they were Program Director for undergraduate and graduate studies, as well as lecturing and providing laboratory instruction in Introductory and Advanced Clinical Microbiology, Molecular Biology, and Science Writing. Paul established and managed an extramurally funded laboratory focused on cancer biology.

In 2005, they began working as a Senior Scientist at Diffraction, LTD, where they were responsible for R&D in nanotech- and optoelectronics-based solutions for emerging technologies related to chem/bio detection, optical/materials response, signature management, tagging-tracking-locating, and communications. Paul was also involved in project design/management, customer relations, contract development, work statements, budgets, schedules, deliverables and reports, and grant writing.

In 2008, they became Co-Founder, SVP & Chief Technology Officer at OncoGenesis Inc., and also founded their own consulting business, Paul Vichi Scientific, LLC, providing scientific solutions for emerging biomedical technologies.

In 2013, they joined Matrx Pharmaceuticals as Vice President, Chief Scientific Officer, and Creative MicroSystems Corporation as Senior Scientist.

Paul Vichi earned a Ph.D. in Cell & Molecular Biology from the University of Vermont in 1994, and a BA in Environmental Science from Saint Michael's College in 1984.
