Lee Harnatkiewicz

Lee Harnatkiewicz has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Lee began their career as an Audit Staff at Ernst & Young in 1984. Lee later worked as an Accounting Manager at Butcher and Singer, where they managed a staff of 19 people and was responsible for all accounting functions.

Harnatkiewicz then joined Campbell Soup Company, where they held various roles including Supervisor - Corporate Audit, Manager - Financial Reporting, Manager - Investment Evaluation, and ultimately Director - Corporate Development. In these roles, they played a key role in the corporate strategic planning process, acted as an internal consultant to business units, and evaluated investments to assess risk and ensure corporate financial goals were met.

Lee then moved on to RealTime Media, Inc., where they served as the Vice President - Finance/Controller. In this role, they were a member of the senior management team and led a business process restructuring initiative, resulting in improved client service and reduced costs.

Harnatkiewicz then worked for Safeguard Scientifics and its partner company Alliance Consulting as a Consultant, where they developed and implemented policies and procedures necessary for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and handled SOX 404 documentation and testing.

Lee later joined Ocean Power Technologies, Inc. as the Director - Financial Reporting, where they filed the company's first SEC filings and developed policies and procedures for generating timely and accurate financial statements.

Currently, Harnatkiewicz serves as the Director - Financial Reporting at Onconova Therapeutics, Inc., a NASDAQ listed clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company. Here, they assisted with the company's successful IPO and is responsible for preparing all of the company's SEC filings.

Throughout their career, Harnatkiewicz has demonstrated expertise in financial reporting, SEC filings, strategic planning, financial analysis, and budgeting. Lee has worked in both public and private companies and has experience in various industries including biopharmaceuticals, renewable energy, and marketing services.

Lee Harnatkiewicz holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Accounting from Drexel University. Additionally, Lee is a Certified Public Accountant in Pennsylvania.
