Ian Hamilton

Ian Hamilton is a seasoned professional in electrical power systems and transmission operations, currently serving as a Senior Transmission Grid Controller at Oncor Electric Delivery since January 2016. Responsibilities include monitoring and controlling transmission and substation facilities through SCADA to ensure compliance with operational ratings and responding to critical alarms. Prior experience includes various roles in the US Navy from January 2010 to January 2016, where Ian supervised load dispatch operations on a nuclear aircraft carrier, managed classified networks, and performed troubleshooting for network systems. Ian holds a Bachelor of Science in Design Engineering Technology and an Associate's degree in Engineering Technology from Trine University, along with training from the Nuclear Power School.
