Merwan Benhabib

VP, Engineering at OndaVia

Merwan Benhabib is the VP of Engineering at OndaVia. Prior to this, they were a post-doctoral research scientist at the UC Berkeley College of Chemistry from January 2010 to June 2010. In 2006, they co-founded EPAL Technologies, where they developed 3D rendering based on 2D architectural plans for home and office builders as a design and communication tool. Merwan also co-founded CalSolAgua in 2007, where they developed an innovative design of a sustainable and low cost solar water heaters for developing countries (patent in process). Calsolagua was finalist of IShow by the American Soc. of Mech. Eng, participated to ESW 08 conf and won several National grant competitions. From August 2005 to December 2005, they were a Graduate Student Instructor at the University of California at Berkeley. Before that, they were a Project Manager at RATP from May 2005 to August 2005.

Merwan Benhabib received their PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley. Merwan also holds a Certificate in Management of Technology from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business. Merwan Benhabib also has a National Diploma, equiv of Masters of Science in Engineering, from Arts et Métiers ParisTech - École Nationale Supérieure d'Arts et Métiers.
