Janarthanan Sundaram

Janarthanan Sundaram is an experienced professional in the telecommunications and governance sectors. Currently serving as Managing Director at Bright Access since September 2013, Janarthanan oversees the development of affordable premium fiber networks while addressing internet security challenges. Janarthanan is also the Chairman of the Fiber Carrier Association and holds multiple supervisory board positions, including Vice-chairman at Onderwijsgroep Amersfoort and member at Theater Sonnevanck and Sité Woondiensten. Previous roles include Managing Director at Partell, where Janarthanan pioneered cloud-based telecommunications solutions, and Councillor for both the Municipality of Enschede and Gemeente Enschede, focusing on economic development and local business support. Janarthanan’s academic background includes a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Twente and participation in a governance program at the University of Groningen Business School.
