Gerharda Tamminga

Gerharda Tamminga is the current President at Onderwijsgroep Noord. Gerharda has previously worked as the Secretaris / algemeen directeur at Regio Twente from November 2016 to November 2019. In this role, they were responsible for the overall operation of the company, including the GGD, Economie en arbeidsmarkt, Organisatie jeugdzorg en maatschappelijke ondersteuning, Veilig Thuis Twente, Kennispunt, Recreatieve voorzieningen, and Bedrijfsvoering departments. Additionally, they served as the first advisor to the DB and AB, and was the lead for the Agenda voor Twente (2018-2022) and Eenvoud, helderheid en transparantie bestuursopdracht. In their role as an ambassador and connector, they were also responsible for maintaining relationships with the education, research, business, and other government sectors in The Hague, Brussels, and Germany.

Some of their notable accomplishments during their time at Regio Twente include spearheading the Agenda voor Twente (2018-2022) initiative and securing its associated funding, as well as developing a new organizational structure that is simpler, clearer, and more transparent with a focus on healthy and prosperous residents.

Prior to their work at Regio Twente, Tamminga served as an Externe examinator / lid beroepenveldcommissie at Hogeschool van Arnhem en Nijmegen

Gerharda Tamminga completed a diploma at Gymnasium Celeanum te Zwolle in 1982. Gerharda then went on to study Cultuurtechniek specialisatie Hydrologie at Wageningen University & Research.
