Shema Abel

Shema Abel is a seasoned professional in human resources and operations, currently serving as the Global Recruitment and Rwanda Lead at One Acre Fund since November 2023. Prior to this role, Shema held the position of People Operations Lead at Spark Microgrants from September 2022 to November 2023, and worked as an Operations Associate at Access to Finance Rwanda from October 2021 to September 2022. Additional experience includes a tenure as a Talent Acquisition Consultant at NewGlobe from March 2021 to January 2022, and roles at ICAP at Columbia University as a People Operations & Recruitment Associate and Administration and Recruitment Assistant from August 2018 to March 2021. Shema holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Makerere University, earned between 2015 and 2018.
