Barnaby Kent

Barnaby Kent has a diverse work experience with expertise in technology, video engineering, and sports. Barnaby has held various leadership roles in different companies.

From 2017, Barnaby Kent has been the Chief Executive Officer at One Big Circle Ltd, where they are responsible for growing a team specializing in intelligent video and complex technology integrations.

Prior to that, from 2015 to 2022, they founded and served as the Managing Director of My Action Replay, a startup that combines sports and technology to create an automated IPTV platform and product.

From 2016 to 2020, Barnaby worked at CricHQ, initially as the Managing Director for the UK and Europe, responsible for growing the usage of their digital platform. Later, they became the Head of Video, aiming to make CricHQ.tv the biggest broadcaster of cricket by combining My Action Replay video technology with the CricHQ platform.

In 2016, Barnaby also worked as a Principal Consultant at Costain Group PLC, providing technology consultancy in the field of Intelligent Transport Systems.

From 2003 to 2016, they worked at Simulation Systems Ltd, initially as a Principal Consultant providing intelligent transport solutions and technical expertise, particularly in digital CCTV and IP camera systems. Later, they became the General Manager, covering various roles including project and company finance, sales strategy, and recruitment.

Prior to that, Barnaby had accountancy roles at Deloitte, GE Capital, and Bupa from 1999 to 2002.

Barnaby Kent began their education journey in 1988 at St Katherines. It is not specified what degree or field of study they pursued at this institution. Later, from 1995 to 1998, they attended Loughborough University where they earned a BSc in Geography and Sports Science. Following this, from 1998 to 1999, Barnaby enrolled at the University of Bristol to pursue a Master's Degree in Society and Space. Finally, in 2002, they returned to the University of Bristol to obtain an MSci in Computer Science, which they completed in 2003.
