Calum MacRae is a Professor at Harvard Medical School since July 2002 and serves as Vice Chair for Scientific Innovation and Chief of Cardiovascular Medicine at Brigham and Women's Hospital, roles held since 2009. MacRae is also a Physician-Scientist and Director of One Brave Idea, as well as Principal Investigator for the Apple Heart and Movement Study, both positions established in 2017 and 2019, respectively. Additionally, MacRae is a Co-Founder of Atman Health, an Advisor for gWell, and a Principal Faculty Member at the Harvard Stem Cell Institute. An Associate Member of the Broad Institute, MacRae previously held various directorial and cardiological roles at Massachusetts General Hospital from 1998 to 2009. Education includes an MB, ChB in Medicine from The University of Edinburgh, a B.Sc. (Hons) in Experimental Physiology from The University of Edinburgh, and a PhD in Human Molecular Genetics from the University of London.
