Karen Shehadi

Karen Shehadi has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Karen started their career in 1996 as a Nursing Assistant and Occupational Therapy Assistant at ValleyCare Hillside Rehabilitation Hospital. During their time there, they assisted therapists with patient rehabilitation and managed patient/staff scheduling and supply inventories. Karen also worked as a Health Information Technician, where they were responsible for managing patient records, assigning diagnostic and procedure codes, and ensuring accurate billing.

In 2012, Karen joined Mount Carmel Health System as a Physician Information System Analyst. In this role, they conducted comprehensive training programs for physicians, nurses, and staff members on the effective utilization of NextGen's EHR system. Karen also led the implementation of new functionality within the system, resulting in streamlined workflows and enhanced patient outcomes. Karen provided ongoing support and guidance to end-users and collaborated with cross-functional teams to design and execute training strategies.

Since 2019, Karen has been working at ONE Health Ohio as a Director of Analytics. In this role, they utilize advanced analytics techniques to extract meaningful insights from large healthcare datasets. Karen conducts thorough data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement. Karen also develops and maintains dashboards, reports, and visualizations to effectively communicate data insights to stakeholders, facilitating data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Karen Shehadi obtained an Associate degree in Computer Applications from Trumbull Business College from 1999 to 2001. Karen then went on to attend DeVry University from 2010 to 2012, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Technical Management. In addition to their formal education, Shehadi has also obtained several certifications from NextGen Healthcare, including NCP in February 2017, NCP EHR in March 2015, and NCP EPM in March 2015.
