Raj, a practicing doctor, is focused on delivering exceptional healthcare for individuals and populations as the chief quality officer. He leads the quality and safety, value and innovation, and data science teams. Raj brings over 17 years of experience in leading clinical outcomes improvement in a variety of settings. Previously, he served as chief quality officer, associate dean for quality, and clinical professor of medicine at Stanford. Prior to that, Raj was the patient safety officer and associate chief medical officer at Rush University Medical Center — helping them achieve top national rankings on outcomes and efficiency among academic medical centers. He teaches physician leadership development programs at Harvard, Stanford, and UC San Diego. Raj attended medical school at Rush, completed a fellowship in healthcare informatics at Harvard and MIT, and earned his MPH in clinical effectiveness at Harvard University.
