Sara Shnider has extensive experience in the field of scientific research and healthcare. Sara is currently serving as the Scientific Director at One Mind, where they oversee scientific programs aimed at advancing research for mental health disorders. Their responsibilities include directing the Rising Star Award program for early career scientists and evaluating mental health startups for the One Mind Accelerator.
Prior to their current role, Sara worked as the US Academic Innovation Lead at Corundum Neuroscience. Prior to their work in non-profits, Sara worked at the Office of Innovation, Technology and Alliances at the University of California San Francisco as a Senior Industry Contracts Officer. Sara managed a portfolio of research agreements with industry partners and negotiated contractual agreements for basic research and clinical studies.
Sara's career also includes experience at the University of California, San Francisco, where they worked as a Licensing Assistant, and at the National Academy of Sciences as a Christine Mirzayan Science and Technology Policy Fellow. Sara has also served in scientific advisory roles at Prize4Life, Inc., Harvard University, and IsrALS - the Israeli ALS Association.

Sara Shnider earned their Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Biology and a minor in Mathematics from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem in the years 1997 to 2000. Sara then pursued a Master of Science degree in Bioinformatics at the Weizmann Institute of Science from 2000 to 2003. Sara furthered their education at Harvard University, where they completed their PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology from 2003 to 2009.
