Leon Battle has diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Leon began their career as a Youth Director at Colonie Life Center from December 2008 to August 2010. Leon then worked at GEICO in sales from October 2010 to April 2011. From September 2011 to April 2014, they served as a Child Protection Investigator and Human Trafficking Specialist at the Florida Department of Children and Families. During this time, they supervised a unit of investigators, facilitated staff meetings, and provided training to new investigators. Leon actively participated in the Polk County Human Trafficking Task Force and served as chairman for awareness, education, and training regarding human trafficking. Leon also liaised and coordinated with various agencies and departments to handle human trafficking cases in Polk County. In 2014, Leon joined Florida Baptist Children's Homes as an Executive Director and later became the Director of Compassion Ministries. Leon is currently serving as the Vice President of Strategic Partnerships at FBCH | One More Child, starting in July 2019.

Leon Battle completed their education at Southeastern University. Leon obtained a Doctor's Degree in Human Development, Family Studies, and Related Services from 2017 to 2022. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Theology/Theological Studies and Business between 2006 and 2008. Additionally, Leon Battle earned a Master's degree in Human Services from Southeastern University, although the specific dates of their enrollment are not provided.
