Allyson Plantz

Associate Director of Resource Development at ONE Neighborhood Builders

Allyson Plantz has been working in the non-profit sector for over three years. Allyson started their career as a Bilingual Youth Support Specialist at Community Care Alliance. In this role, they provided support and guidance to young people who were struggling with mental health issues. Allyson then became a Program Manager at One Neighborhood Builders, where they oversaw the implementation of programs designed to support the residents of a low-income neighborhood in Providence, Rhode Island. In October 2018, they were promoted to Chief of Staff, and in this role they managed the day-to-day operations of the organization and served as a liaison between the staff and the Board of Directors.

In December 2019, Allyson left One Neighborhood Builders to become a Staff Writer at Girl Scouts of Southern Arizona. In this role, they were responsible for writing grant proposals and reports, researching funding opportunities, and developing and implementing GSSoAz’s grant work plan and corporate sponsorship strategy. Allyson also contributed to other written communication for external use, such as the annual report and program language.

In January 2021, Allyson returned to One Neighborhood Builders as the Associate Director of Resource Development. In this role, they are responsible for leading the organization’s fundraising efforts, including writing grants, cultivating relationships with donors, and stewardship.

Allyson Plantz has a Bachelor of Arts from Southwestern University in Biology and Art.

Allyson Plantz reports to Jennifer Hawkins, President & Executive Director. Allyson Plantz works with Jeniffer M. Reid - Controller, Karen Zuniga - Assistant Director of Programs, and Milton Baxter - Director of Real Estate & General Counsel.
