Graham Keniston-Cooper

Graham Keniston-Cooper has had a long and distinguished career in private equity, including significant investment, CEO and board experience. He currently spends his time with private investments and philanthropic activities.

Prior to his retirement, he spent 30 years in various senior roles. Graham was General Partner at Cinven, CEO of Lazard Private Equity Partners, and Head of Morgan Stanley Private Equity in Europe. He was actively involved in all aspects of private equity activities including deal sourcing, deal execution, investment management and realizations. He established Morgan Stanley’s and Lazard’s European private equity businesses, and was one of three partners responsible for raising Cinven’s third fund in 2002 which at €4.4 billion was the largest European buy-out fund raised at the time. Graham led transactions across a range of sectors and geographies and served on the boards of more than 10 portfolio companies, including United Biscuits, Peacocks, and Wightlink. Prior to his career in private equity, he worked as head of business development at Kingfisher and senior consultant at The Boston Consulting Group.

Graham holds a first class Master’s degree in Mathematics from Trinity College, Cambridge, United Kingdom.
