Lyndsey Andersen

Lyndsey Andersen is currently an Administrative Associate at One Roof Community Housing. Lyndsey has previously worked as an Associate Director at the University of Minnesota Duluth Study Abroad and as a UMD Seminar Instructor.

Lyndsey has experience in managing portfolios of short-term instructor led programs, as well as day-to-day operations of a study abroad program. Lyndsey is also responsible for assessment of study abroad programs, and has implemented risk management and health and safety policies and procedures.

As a UMD Seminar Instructor, Lyndsey was responsible for student-centered instruction of a class of 20-30 new students entering UMD. Lyndsey created an interactive classroom setting that worked towards the primary goals and outcomes of UMD Seminar. Lyndsey also addressed holistic topics across six different goals, including exploring the differing expectations and demands between secondary and higher education, introducing tools, skills, and resources necessary for UMD success, helping new students feel welcome at UMD by making it easy to meet people and form connections, engaging students in respectful conversations with individuals who have different perspectives, guiding students on the journey of self-exploration as they begin to discover what is important to them, and helping students evaluate options to make responsible decisions.

Lyndsey Andersen has a Master of Education from the University of Minnesota Duluth and a Bachelor of Science from St. Cloud State University. Lyndsey is currently an education consultant.

Lyndsey Andersen works with Tina Yates - Written Communications Coordinator, Jamie Simonette - Administrative Coordinator. Their manager is Annie Saboe, Administrative Director.
