Aimal Rextin

Aimal Rextin has worked in a variety of roles since 2005. Aimal began as a PhD student at the University of Limerick, then moved on to become an Assistant Professor at the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science in 2009. In 2012, they became an Assistant Professor at Abasyn University, Peshawar. In 2014, they were an Assistant Professor at both COMSATS University Islamabad and COMSATS Institute of Information Technology. In 2019, they became a Research Scientist in the RESPIRE Research Program at The University of Edinburgh. Currently, they are an Associate Professor at National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) and Head of Research at OneScreen.

Aimal Rextin completed their PhD in Computer Science from the University of Limerick between 2005 and 2009. Aimal then completed their MS in Computer Science from the Lahore University of Management Sciences between 2001 and 2004. Theirundergraduate studies were from the Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology where they completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering between 1996 and 2000. Aimal also attended Islamabad college for boys prior to their undergraduate studies. Additionally, Aimal Rextin holds certifications in Data Analysis and Statistical Inference from Coursera obtained in November 2014 and Engineer certifications from the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC).
