one sec forces you to take a deep breath whenever you open distracting apps.

It’s as simple as effective: You will reduce your social media usage just by becoming aware of it. one sec is the focus app that tackles the problem of unconscious social media use at its root. It is designed to change your habits on a long-term basis.

one sec works so great because it is fully automated – and forces you to reflect on your actions – while they happen.

🛌 Sleep better
Prevent scrolling mindlessly before you go to bed – and block apps automatically after waking up.

With one sec, you‘ll notice both a short-term and long-term effect on your social media usage:

1. Unconscious phone habits are prevented right away (“Why did I even want to open that app?”) and
2. long-term habits change because these apps appear less appealing to your brain (their “dopamine on demand” effect fades away).

This effect has been confirmed in a study with the University of Heidelberg and Max Planck Institute where we detected a reduction of social media usage by 57% thanks to one sec. Read our paper: https://psyarxiv.com/nwuar
