Darren Irvin has a range of experience in the field of design, starting with their current role as a Senior UX Designer at One Technologies. There, they lead the iOS design team and is responsible for the launch of ScoreSense Basic, as well as the maintenance of the design system for the flagship product, ScoreSense. Darren also collaborates with stakeholders and product owners to create user-driven scenarios and conducts usability testing.
Prior to their current position, Darren worked as a Lead UI/UX Designer at VitalTech Innovations, where they played a key role in launching an app and web-based portal for tracking vitals. Darren delivered designs and prototypes for a dashboard used by doctors to remotely monitor patients, and worked closely with product owners and engineers to define wearable features.
Before that, Darren served as a User Experience Designer at Brand Agent, leading the design for the relaunch of brands such as Frito-Lay and Raising Canes. Darren focused on creating dynamic, intuitive, and responsive interfaces with a mobile-first approach.
In their earlier roles, Darren held positions as a UI/UX Designer at AYC Group, where they designed and marketed two e-commerce websites, and as a Web and Graphic Designer at Visual Impact. Darren also served as a Lead Graphic Designer at AlphaGraphics, where they coordinated workflow, worked directly with clients and the sales team on direct marketing campaigns, and managed pre-press and pre-flighting processes.
Darren's career began as a Graphic Designer at The Brownsville Herald, where they worked in the advertising department and was later given the responsibility of retail/product photographer.
Darren Irvin has a Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) degree in Web Design & Interactive Media from The Art Institutes. Darren also holds an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree in Visual Communications from the same institution. Additionally, Darren completed a Certificate Program in User Experience Design at Southern Methodist University. Darren is currently pursuing a Master of Science (M.S.) in Information Design & Strategy with a specialization in User Experience (UX) at Northwestern University.
