One Vision
Janet Johnson has a substantial work experience spanning multiple companies. Janet recently joined One Vision in 2023 as the Chief Development Officer (CDO). Prior to that, they held the same position at The Globe Gazette and Lee Enterprises from 2019 to 2023. Before that, they worked as the Advertising Director at Quad-City Times from 2017 to 2023. Janet also has experience as an Advertising Director at Casper Star-Tribune from 2012 to 2017 and the Holland Sentinel from 2001 to 2012.
Janet Johnson attended Michigan State University from 1981 to 1983, though no specific degree or field of study is mentioned. From 1983 to 1985, they pursued their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services at Central Michigan University.
One Vision
What is our vision? To inspire meaningful lives by connecting people with purpose, whether that purpose is obtaining a job, finding a home that meets an individual’s needs and wants, or supporting personal interests. We are a nonprofit organization that provides services to more than 550 individuals so they may achieve greater purpose and independence through personal choice and community involvement. Founded in 1971, our realm of services has evolved to include community-based personal and employment support for individuals with disabilities; the Children’s Autism Centers in Clear Lake and Fort Dodge; and many retail businesses that provide revenue for our organization and job opportunities for people we support. One Vision provides services in 30 Iowa communities including Clear Lake, Mason City, Fort Dodge, Eagle Grove and Humboldt. We employ approximately 600 staff, making our organization one of the largest employers in North Iowa.
