Cédric Herment is the Chief Development Officer at Electra. Cédric was previously the Technical Adviser to the private Office of the French Minister for the Environment from November 2019 to October 2021. Prior to that, they were the Head of Risk Department at the Regional Directorate for Energy and Environment - Region Ile de France from July 2016 to November 2019. In that role, they were in charge of coordination and enforcement of risk prevention public policies in region Ile de France. This included management of a team of 70 people, operations management, innovation, partnerships with local authorities and private sector, media relations, and crisis management.
Cédric Herment attended the École Polytechnique, where they studied engineering. Cédric then went on to earn a master's degree in fluid mechanics from the same school. Afterward, they worked as an engineer for the French government's mining administration. Finally, they taught at the Lycée Champollion.
