Gabriel Gomes Barros

Gabriel Gomes Barros is an experienced professional currently serving as an ervaringsdeskundig lid in the program team addressing the future of child and family protection at the Ministerie van Justitie en Veiligheid since June 2023. In parallel, Gabriel holds various roles including wijkraadslid in Bospolder/Spangen/Tussendijken for the Gemeente Rotterdam, coach and supporter of client councils at Youz and Antes, and bestuursvoorzitter for the Minister van Kinderen. Additionally, Gabriel has been an active member of the Expex Foundation as secretary and vice chairman since May 2017, while also chairing the Youth Council at Youth Protection Services Rotterdam Rijnmond since June 2019. Engagement with global initiatives is demonstrated through the ambassadorship with One Young World starting in October 2023.
