Derek Brown

Derek Brown has a diverse work experience in the field of information technology. Derek started their career at CBM Technology as a Web Administrator in 2004 and worked there until 2007. Derek then joined Goodwill Industries of Acadiana as an IT Manager from 2007 to 2008. In 2008, they moved to L-3 Communications where they held the positions of Help Desk Specialist/IMCEN Pentagon from 2008 to 2009, and Network Administrator/Army Audit Agency from 2009 to 2011. Derek then joined ATC Group Services LLC in 2011 and held various roles including Network Engineer from 2011 to 2016, Infrastructure Manager from 2016 to 2018, and IT Operations Manager from 2018 to the present. Most recently, in 2020, Derek became the Director of Information Technology at Atlas.

Derek Brown obtained a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2002. Derek later obtained additional certifications including a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT) from Cisco in August 2012. Derek also obtained a CompTIA Security+ certification from CompTIA in 2010 and a CompTIA Network+ certification in 2004.
