Dr Rakesh Shivran

Dr. Rakesh Shivran has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Dr. Rakesh is currently the Co-Founder and CEO of OneCare since 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Practo from 2018 to 2021, starting as the GM - Products and progressing to roles such as Senior Director - Products and AVP Products & Business Head, Core Leadership Team. At Practo, they focused on developing and improving products and services for the healthcare industry in India.

Before their time at Practo, Dr. Rakesh Shivran co-founded BabyOnBoard, a platform for new parents, from 2016 to 2018. The company was later acquired by RoundGlass Partners. Dr. Rakesh also served as the Manager - Healthcare Products & Strategy at Indegene from 2015 to 2016, where they oversaw strategic initiatives and product management for healthcare payers.

Their earlier experiences include participating in the iTaste Leadership Development Program at Mondelēz International (Kraft Foods - Cadbury) from 2013 to 2015, and working as a Summer Associate in the Investment Banking division at Rothschild in 2012. Dr. Rakesh also has medical experience, having worked as an Emergency Medical Officer at Apollo Hospitals from 2009 to 2011 and as a House Surgeon at JLN Medical College, Ajmer from 2008 to 2009.

Dr. Rakesh Shivran holds a Clinical Rotations Program certification from Harvard Medical School in 2009.

Dr. Rakesh Shivran holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Business Strategy & Management from the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, which they completed from 2011-2013. Prior to that, they attended JLN Medical College, Ajmer, where they obtained a M.B.B.S. degree in Medical Sciences from 2003-2008. In 2009, they completed the International Medical Graduate - Clinical Rotations Program at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Rakesh also has additional certifications including the Education Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) Certification and the United States Medical Licensing Examinations (USMLE).
