Yuriy Milevskiy

Yuriy Milevskiy has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of urban planning and design. Yuriy is currently the Founder and CEO of OneCity, a position they have held since June 2021. Additionally, they serve as the Chairperson - Emerging & Future Tech at Hazards Forum, starting from November 2021.

Yuriy has co-founded two companies in the past. Yuriy co-founded NOVAYA Labs in 2013, where they provided integrated data-driven solutions for town planning, property development, and urban regeneration. Yuriy advised local communities and city governments on innovating the planning process and policy development. Furthermore, in 2019, they co-founded BetterHome, where they played a key role in the company until February 2022.

Their previous work experience also includes serving as a Research Officer and Vice Dean at the National Research University - Higher School of Economics | School of Urban Studies and Planning. During their time there from 2011 to 2014, they focused on multidisciplinary research and teaching urban studies and planning.

Yuriy has also worked as a Project Coordinator at the London School of Economics | LSE Cities, an Independent Consultant specializing in urban design and planning, and an Urban Designer and Planner at Arup.

Yuriy Milevskiy pursued their education at Moscow State University of Civil Engineering (MSUCE) from 2000 to 2006, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Architecture and Buildings Design. Later, in 2008, they attended UCL and completed a Master of Science degree in Urban Studies, specifically in UCL Urban Laboratory, during the academic year 2008-2009.
