Alvin Kwock

Alvin Kwock has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Alvin is currently the Co-Founder of OneDegree, an InsurTech company that was established in 2016. OneDegree has quickly grown to become the leading virtual insurer in Hong Kong, offering a range of digital insurance products for individuals and enterprises. Alvin has been instrumental in the company's growth and expansion, overseeing operations in multiple locations and managing a team of around 200 employees.

Prior to their role at OneDegree, Alvin co-founded Looken in 2015, where they served as the Chief Business Officer. However, their tenure at Looken was relatively short, lasting from October 2015 to March 2016.

Before venturing into entrepreneurship, Alvin had an extensive career at J.P. Morgan, where they held various leadership roles from 2004 to 2015. Alvin served as the APAC Head of Emerging Technology and the Taiwan Head of Research. During their time at J.P. Morgan, Alvin successfully supervised a team of up to 15 research professionals and played a key role in organizing a large-scale sell-side Global TMT conference in Asia. Alvin also achieved notable success in turning around the ranking of the Tech Hardware II team and Taiwan, despite budget constraints.

Alvin began their career as an intern at Credit Suisse in 2002, where they gained experience in Asian Technology Equity Research. Prior to that, they had internships at Andersen, specializing in China Financial Institutions Auditing, and Standard Chartered Bank, focusing on Hong Kong Trade Finance Solutions.

Alvin Kwock completed high school at Queen's College between 1994 and 2000. Following that, they pursued higher education at the University of Chicago from 2000 to 2003.
