Heather McGuire has an extensive work experience in various roles within different companies. Heather started their career as a Research & Development Chef & Food Writer at Epicure™ in 2010 before moving on to become a Lead Product Developer in 2011. In this role, they successfully launched over 10 new products each quarter, contributing to a significant increase in sales revenue. Heather then took on the role of Senior Product Manager of Innovation, Research & Development at Epicure™, leading a team in creating innovative and healthy meal solutions. Heather also played a key role in transitioning the Canadian product line to the US International market. After leaving Epicure™, Heather joined Trendi in 2022, where they served as a Senior Product Innovation Manager and later as Head of Product Innovation. During their time at Trendi, they led the development of innovative food products and industry solutions, including launching the first mobile freeze drying unit for rescuing food waste at the farm level. Heather's most recent role is as a Client Project Manager at OneFeather, where they work directly with First Nations, Inuit, and Métis people across Turtle Island in Canada to plan and support their elections. Heather'srole includes supporting over 200 Nations with their elections, including the historic Mété Nation of Alberta voting event. Overall, Heather's work experience showcases their expertise in product development, innovation, project management, and their passion for sustainability and reducing food waste.
Heather McGuire attended Western University from 1990 to 1995, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in English & Western Literature. In addition to their degree, they have obtained additional certifications as a Tea Sommelier from the Tea & Herbal Association of Canada in 2015 and as a Red Seal Chef from the Ontario Ministry of Colleges and Universities in 2001.
