Mark Carrier

Mark Carrier has extensive work experience in the software engineering field. Mark started their career in 2007 as a Software Development Specialist at Impact Systems, where they were responsible for redesigning and developing a new electronic content management platform. In 2008, they worked as a Technical Analyst at Brulant before joining Rosetta as a Technology Associate / Software Developer. At Rosetta, they were involved in the design, development, and support of applications for a multinational client.

In 2010, Mark joined SAIC and held various roles, including Software Engineer II and Software Engineer III / Systems Engineer/Integrator. In these roles, they served as a project technical lead, software engineer, and solutions architect for a high-performance computing environment leveraging big data in a cloud environment. Mark also played a key role in coordinating widget and web application development and bridging the gaps between customer requirements, application development, and infrastructure components.

From 2013 to 2017, Mark worked at Blue Canopy as a Principal Software Engineer and Technical Director. In this role, they led a development team and supported a major big data initiative across multiple environments. Mark redesigned and re-implemented an analytics-driven live-streaming data ingest pipeline to significantly increase throughput.

Most recently, Mark is employed at OneGlobe LLC as a Senior System Engineer, starting in 2023.

Mark Carrier received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering and Computer Science from Penn State University, where they studied from 2003 to 2007. Prior to that, from 2001 to 2003, they attended the Wentworth Institute of Technology and obtained an Associate of Science degree in Electrical Engineering Technology. Additionally, Mark has obtained two certifications from Amazon Web Services: the AWS Business Professional Accreditation Certification in February 2014 and the AWS Technical Professional Accreditation Certification in the same month and year.
