Paavo Salminen

Paavo Salminen has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Paavo is currently serving as the Chief Business Development Officer at Onego Bio, a biotech scaleup company specializing in animal-free egg white protein production. Prior to this, Paavo was a Board Member at Myllärin / Helsingin Mylly / Helsinki Mills. Paavo is also the Co-Founder and Owner of Emblemo Ltd.

Before joining Onego Bio, Paavo worked at Gold&Green Foods Ltd in the role of International Business Development and Sysco Key Account. Paavo held this position from May 2019 until March 2022. Prior to that, they were associated with Valio, where they held various roles such as Senior Vice President - Consumer Products and Technology Sales New Markets, Business Development Director - Babyfoods, and Category Manager - Business development.

Paavo also gained experience at Valio USA, Inc as a Quality and External manufacturing manager from August 2009 to August 2013. Paavo worked as an Export Manager - Value added ingredients at Valio from May 2008 to September 2009. In addition to their corporate roles, Paavo worked as a Senior Scientist at Kraft Foods from May 2004 to May 2008. Paavo also had a brief stint as a Voice Over Artist for the movie "Schwere Jungs" at OLGA Film GmbH in 2006.

Paavo Salminen has a Bachelor of Science degree in Food Chemistry from the University of Turku. Paavo also holds a Master of Science degree in European Master in Food Studies from Wageningen University & Research. In addition, they have completed the Senior Executive Programme in Business Administration, Management, and Operations from the London Business School. Paavo Salminen also has a certification in HACCP from the International Dairy Foods Association (IDFA), although the specific date of obtaining this certification is not provided.
