Cody Wilgus has extensive work experience in various roles. Cody is currently a Project Geologist at Oneida ESC Group (OESC) since September 2022. Prior to that, they worked as an Environmental Scientist at Rincon Consultants, Inc. from June 2016 to September 2022. Cody also has experience as a Graduate Student Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant at UC Santa Barbara from September 2014 to June 2016. Earlier in their career, they held positions at Santa Barbara Family YMCA, including Associate Membership Director and Member Services Supervisor from May 2013 to August 2014, and Financial Aid Administrator and Membership Services Representative from 2006 to 2010. Overall, Cody Wilgus has a diverse background and experience in environmental science, research, and customer service.
Cody Wilgus has a strong academic background in environmental science and management. Cody earned a Master of Environmental Science and Management degree from UC Santa Barbara, attending from 2014 to 2016. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from the same institution with a focus on Earth Science, specifically hydrology, from 2008 to 2011. Before attending UC Santa Barbara, they attended Santa Barbara City College from 2005 to 2008.
In addition to their formal education, Cody has obtained several certifications related to their field. Cody is a Professional Geologist, certified by the State of California Board of Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors, and Geologists, since December 2021. Cody also holds an 8-Hour HAZWOPER Refresher certification from Safety Unlimited, Inc., obtained in May 2020. Cody became a Geologist-in-Training in May 2018, again certified by the State of California Board of Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors, and Geologists. Furthermore, they obtained a 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification from 360training in June 2016.
