Michael Regan has a range of work experience in the field of safety and security. Michael started their career as a Police Officer, Investigator, and Sergeant at the East Syracuse Police Department from 1988 to 2010. Following that, they worked at the Van Duyn Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing, initially as the Director of Safety and Security from 2016 and later as the Director of Safety, Security, and Transportation from 2018. Currently, they are employed at Oneida Health as the Emergency Preparedness Coordinator and Security Director, starting in 2022.
Michael Regan attended the Onondaga County Police Academy from 1988 to 1989, earning a Certificate in Law Enforcement.

Oneida Health serves an area comprised of approximately 29 communities in Madison and western Oneida counties with a population of approximately 100,000.
