James Hamilton, CPA

James Hamilton, CPA has worked in the accounting and finance industry since 2012. From 2012 to 2013, they worked as a Corporate Accounting Intern at Texas Sterling Construction Co. During this time, they assisted the Corporate Accounting Manager with daily accounting activities and was the key accountant for full cycle accounts payable process. From 2013 to 2016, they worked as a Tax Accountant at Van Houten & Associates, PC, where they prepared Federal and State income tax returns. From 2016 to 2014, they worked as an Accounting Manager at Abrigo, where they had oversight of the General Ledger and led the 5-day close in a fast-paced growth environment. From 2014 to 2019, they worked as a Senior Accountant at Scrypt, Inc., a SAAS company. Finally, from 2019 to 2022, they worked as a Vice President of Finance and Operations and then Vice President of Finance at Vertebrae, a Snap Inc. company. In July 2021, they helped lead a successful acquisition of Vertebrae by Snap, Inc. James is currently working as the Vice President of Finance at ONELIVE.

James Hamilton obtained their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting from the University of Houston, C.T. Bauer College of Business in 2012. In 2015, they attained their CPA certification from the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy.
