Aku Levola

Aku Levola has extensive work experience in the field of GPS signal processing and algorithms. Aku currently holds the position of Principal FW Engineer at oneNav, Inc. since September 2021. Prior to this, they worked at u-blox as a Principal Engineer (GNSS Signal Processing and Algorithms) from June 2019 to September 2021, and as a Senior Engineer, Algorithms and Signal Processing from August 2017 to June 2019. Aku also worked at IndoorAtlas Inc as an Algorithm and Software Developer from January 2016 to June 2017. Before that, they held the role of Engineer, Sr Staff / Manager at Qualcomm from May 2011 to November 2015. Aku's earlier experience includes roles at Atheros Communications, where they worked as a Principal Member of Technical Staff from April to May 2011, a Senior Member of Technical Staff from December 2007 to March 2011, and a SW Development Engineer from October 2003 to December 2007. In their various roles, Aku has focused on GPS signal processing algorithms design, firmware implementation, and software and signal processing design for GPS receivers. Aku has also worked on peripheral support, real-time operating systems, and test systems. Additionally, Aku completed their MSc thesis on the design of a GPS signal acquisition control module, which included a detailed model of the CDMA acquisition process and an efficient search strategy for GPS signal acquisition.

Aku Levola completed their Master of Science degree in Electronics with a focus on Embedded Systems from Tampere University of Technology 1965-2018. Aku pursued this degree from 1997 to 2006.
