Nathan Black has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Nathan started their career as a Senior Editor at Rice Thresher, where they oversaw the editing process for newspaper articles and managed a team of editors and reporters. Nathan then worked as a Program Management Intern at GuideWorks, LLC, where they assisted with project management and implementation of the Scrum methodology.

Following that, Nathan joined Katzenbach Partners as an Associate Consultant, working with clients in various sectors to execute strategic changes. Nathan played a crucial role in supporting a major insurance company's policy rollout in multiple states.

Nathan's academic background includes their time at MIT, where they pursued their Ph.D. and researched the spread of violent civil conflict. Nathan specifically focused on identifying factors that contribute to these conflicts and proposed preventative measures.

Their next professional opportunity was as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Harvard University Center for the Environment. During this time, they furthered their research in the field of environmental studies.

Nathan's most recent position is Vice President of Solutions at OnePager, a Colorado-based company specializing in timeline presentation software. Nathan joined the company as a tester in 2006 and played a fundamental role in its formation. In their current role, they lead the cloud development efforts, supports the development of desktop products, and manages the Technical Support team.

Nathan Black began their education journey in 2002 at Rice University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. Nathan continued their studies at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) from 2007 to 2012, where they obtained a PhD in Political Science.
