Johann Rannou

Head Of The Computational Structural Mechanics Team at ONERA - The French Aerospace Lab

Johann Rannou has a significant work experience in the field of aerospace engineering and research. Johann started their career in 2003 as an intern at UC Santa Barbara. In 2005, they became a PhD student at INSA de Lyon, where they completed their studies in 2008. After that, they joined ONERA - The French Aerospace Lab as a Research Scientist and later became the Head of the Computational Structural Mechanics team. Additionally, they have served as a part-time lecturer at EPF Ecole d'Ingénieur-e-s since 2013.

Johann Rannou began their education in 1996 at Lycée Yves Thépot in Quimper, where they obtained their BAC S degree in an unspecified field of study in 1999. From 1999 to 2001, they attended Lycée Vauban in Brest, specializing in preparatory classes for engineering studies (PTSI/PT). Johann then went on to pursue a BSc and Agrégation degree in Mechanical Engineering from 2001 to 2004 at École normale supérieure Paris-Saclay. In 2004, they obtained an MSc in Mechanical Engineering from INSA Lyon - Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Lyon. Johann continued their academic journey at the same institute, obtaining a PhD in Computational Mechanics between 2005 and 2008.
