Michael Scherman is a Principal Research Engineer at ONERA - The French Aerospace Lab, specializing in laser sources and metrology within the DPHY - Physics Instrumentation Environment Space Department since December 2009. Additionally, Michael serves as an External Lecturer at Université Pierre et Marie Curie from 2018 to the present. Earlier, Michael completed a PhD in Quantum Optics at Laboratoire Kastler Brossel, focusing on electromagnetically induced transparency and quantum memories, from October 2008 to December 2011. Michael's initial experience includes an internship at Nanonics Imaging Ltd in 2007, where atomic force microscope characterization and Kerr effect microscope development were conducted. Michael holds a Master of Science in Laser and Optical Engineering from Institut d'Optique Graduate School, completed between 2005 and 2008, and completed preparatory classes in Physics and Chemistry at Lycée Louis-le-Grand in 2004-2005.
