Philippe BIDAUD

Philippe Bidaud is the Scientific Director for ICT at ONERA - The French Aerospace Lab, overseeing research programs in the field of Information Processing and Systems and expanding ONERA’s activities in Nouvelle Aquitaine. Bidaud earned a Ph.D. in robotics in 1984 and worked as a research scientist at CNRS, where they focused on modeling and control of robotic systems. They served as a professor and held various leadership roles at Sorbonne Université, including the directorship of the Laboratory of Robotics and the Institute of Intelligent Systems and Robotics. With over 200 publications and a dozen patents, Bidaud has made significant contributions to robotics, particularly in grasping, rover locomotion, and interactive manipulation.
