Leonardo Nizzoli

Leonardo Nizzoli has extensive work experience as a Data Scientist, focusing on various areas such as Social Media Intelligence, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, and Big Data Analytics. Leonardo has worked at companies like OneTag, WEVO, IIT-CNR, and Università di Pisa, where they conducted research and development projects related to data analysis and social network analysis. Additionally, Leonardo has served as a Teaching Assistant for a course on big data analytics and social mining and has completed research internships at the Information Sciences Institute and Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna. Their expertise also includes fluid dynamics simulations and control system design, particularly in the field of sea wave and tidal energy devices.

Leonardo Nizzoli began their education at the Università di Pisa in 2003, where they obtained a Laurea triennale in Fisica in 2007. Leonardo continued their studies at the same institution and obtained a Master's degree in Physics in 2010. In 2016, Leonardo returned to the Università di Pisa to pursue a Post-Graduate Master's degree in Big Data Analytics & Social Mining, which they completed in 2017. In 2018, they attended the Lipari School on Computational Complex and Social Systems at the Università di Catania. Leonardo then participated in the Data Science Summer School at the Scuola Normale Superiore in 2019. Finally, Leonardo Nizzoli completed their education journey by achieving a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Information Engineering from the Università di Pisa in 2021.
