Ed Fraser

Ed Fraser has a diverse work experience in the IT field, spanning over more than two decades. Ed is currently working at oneZero Financial Systems as a Principal Systems Engineer since March 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Systems Engineer at the same company from August 2019 to March 2023.

Before joining oneZero Financial Systems, Ed worked as a Senior Systems Administrator at Needham Bank from May 2018 to August 2019. Prior to that, they spent six years at Agero, Inc. as a Senior Systems Engineer, where they were responsible for VMware vSphere infrastructure architecture and technical leadership, as well as being a member of the Cloud Platform Management team and the on-prem IT Systems team.

Earlier in their career, Ed worked at John Hancock as a Server Engineer from June 2008 to May 2012. Their responsibilities included providing hardware and OS support for the company's Windows Server infrastructure, acting as the architect and technical lead for monthly WSUS security patching, and handling server builds, upgrades, repairs, and replacements.

Prior to John Hancock, Ed worked at Markel Corporation as a Server Engineer from 2004 to 2008, where they designed, implemented, and administered the SMS 2003 exclusive system. Ed also managed Active Directory, including group policy, security, user accounts, computer objects, and OUs, and was responsible for VMware administration.

Ed's early career included roles at Matrix Technologies as a Systems Administrator from 2003 to 2004, where they administered a Windows 2000 domain and maintained Active Directory, and at Lightbridge Inc. as a Systems Analyst from 2000 to 2003, where they provided desktop support, performed upgrades and maintenance on NT/2000 servers, and distributed licensed software.

Lastly, Ed worked at Biscom as a Server Support specialist from 1998 to 2000, where they loaded and configured Windows OS, installed and configured hardware and software, and provided desktop support for LAN and customer RMA systems.

Ed Fraser attended Framingham State University but the dates of their enrollment and the degree or field of study are unavailable. In terms of certifications, Ed obtained various certifications including VMware Certified Professional - Data Center Virtualization in 2013 and 2022, VMware Certified Professional - Data Center Virtualization in 2023, ITIL Foundation in 2014, MCP - Microsoft Certified Professional, and Network+.
