Samia Masad, MBA, FMVA®

Samia Masad, MBA, FMVA® has a wealth of experience in finance and operations. Samia began their career in 1999 as an Accountant for the Women's Affairs Technical Committee. In 2001, they took on the role of Financial Planner for the UNDP/LRDP Program. From 2002 to 2013, they were the Finance and Administration Manager for two USAID funded projects, the Civic Engagement Program and the Office of Transition Initiative (OTI). During this time, they managed budgets ranging from $20 to $62.50 million. From 2013 to 2019, they were the Director of Finance and Operations for IntraHealth International Inc., Palestinian Health Capacity Program (PHCP). In this role, they were responsible for the overall control and oversight of all financial and operational aspects of the project with a budget of $17 million. From 2019 to 2020, they were a Financial and Operations Consultant for Urban Plus for Innovative Solutions, where they established financial, procurement, administration and human resource systems and standard operating procedures in compliance with regulatory requirements and best standards. Most recently, they have been working as an Operations Finance Consultant for IntraHealth International since 2021 and as a Financial and Operations Expert/Consultant for OnFrontiers since 2020.

Samia Masad holds an MBA from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, obtained in 2016. Prior to that, they audited postgraduate courses at Harvard Kennedy School from 2011 to 2012. Samia also holds a BA in Accounting from Birzeit University, obtained in 1999. In 2020, Samia obtained the Financial Modeling and Valuation Analyst (FMVA)\u00ae certification from Corporate Finance Institute\u00ae (CFI). Additionally, they have obtained several certifications from CFI in 2020, including Renewable Energy - Solar Financial Modeling, Advanced Financial Modeling and Valuation, Advanced Excel, Budgeting and Forecasting, Business Valuation, Financial Analysis, and Scenario and Sensitivity Analysis. Samia has also obtained the Jodi Glickman on Pitching Yourself certification from LinkedIn in 2020.
