Andy Hodges

Andy Hodges has a diverse range of work experience in various roles. Andy started their career in 2004 as a Software Developer at Implicit Software Solutions, where they worked on projects such as JournalBar, Phraze-It game, OmegaOne Invaders, Logic Squares, and Dominoes and Checkers. Andy then joined FortisBC Inc. as a Systems Analyst, where they worked on software development and subsystem analysis for billing, payment processing, and meter read systems. In 2013, they joined STEMCELL Technologies as a System Analyst, focusing on DevOps and creating web applications. Andy also worked at the United Nations International School as a Software Developer for a short contract position. Currently, since 2018, they are working as a DevOps Engineer at Onica.

Andy Hodges began their education at the British Columbia Institute of Technology, where they obtained a Diploma of Technology in Embedded Systems from 2003 to 2005. In addition to their formal education, Andy Hodges has also achieved several certifications. These include the DevOps Foundations: Chaos Engineering certification from LinkedIn, obtained in August 2020, and the AWS Solutions Architect - Associate certification from Linux Academy, obtained in March 2018. Andy also holds certifications in Docker Deep Dive, Jenkins and Build Automation, and Introduction to the Linux Academy, all obtained from LinuxAcademy.com in 2017 and 2016. Furthermore, Andy Hodges has received the Certificate of Proficiency in Amateur Radio - Basic with Honors from Innovation, Science and Economic Development / Innovation, Sciences et Développement économique in October 2016. Andy has additional certifications in Pilot - Small Remotely Powered Aircraft Systems, Visual line-of-sight from Transport Canada - Transports Canada in August 2020 and AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in April 2018.
