Sebastian Hanlon has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Sebastian started their career as a Web Applications Developer at the University of Lethbridge in 2002. From 2006 to 2010, they worked as a Programmer at BioWare, contributing to the development of gameplay and pipeline technology for various projects, including Dragon Age: Origins and Mass Effect 2. Sebastian then took on the role of Senior Programmer at BioWare, working on the animation systems, player gameplay, and designer tools support for Dragon Age II and Dragon Age Inquisition. Sebastian also played a key role in piloting EA's Frostbite engine and developing core action gameplay design architecture for Dragon Age Inquisition.

In 2018, Sebastian joined Hinterland Studio Inc. as a Gameplay Designer, where they worked until 2019. Sebastian then became a Senior Technical Design Consultant at Serious Labs Inc., where they worked until 2020. In 2019, they also ventured into their own business under the name Sebastian Hanlon, serving in the role of Insights and Implementation.
