Application Engineer at OnLogic

Javier Onate began their work experience in 2015 as an Assistant to the Manager at PUERTO VALLARTA MEXICAN RESTAURANT, where they assisted in administrative duties and ensured excellent customer service. In 2017, they worked as a STEM Tutor at Indiana GearUP - Purdue University, where they tutored middle school students in Math, Science, Social Studies, and English, and conducted STEM activities to spark interest in various fields. In 2019, they interned at SMC, updating and migrating CAD files and gaining knowledge about air preparation equipment. In 2020, they competed in a case competition at Purdue University, focusing on maintaining and increasing student involvement with cultural centers during the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2021, they interned at Ford Motor Company as a Research and Advancement Intern, working on future vehicle features and participating in the City of Tomorrow challenge. Currently, they are employed at OnLogic as an Application Engineer, evaluating, testing, and troubleshooting custom customer systems, providing engineering services, and evaluating new computer hardware.

Javier Onate began their education at Ivy Tech Community College in 2014 and completed their Associate's degree in General Studies in 2018. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at Purdue University from 2018 to 2022.
