Tom Walters

Tom Walters serves as the Director of Communications for Onondaga County Public Libraries since May 2022, and is the Founder of MMJ Boot Camp, a one-on-one personal training initiative for multimedia journalists and photojournalists. Previously, Tom was a Team Lead for Covid testing at Onondaga County from January 2021 to February 2022. Tom’s extensive background in photojournalism includes roles as Senior Photojournalist at Spectrum News and TWC News/YNN/News 10 Now, alongside various positions in the field dating back to their time as Chief Photojournalist at WIXT-TV. Tom holds a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcasting from Ashland University, earned between 1981 and 1985.
