Thomas Pryor has extensive work experience in the oil and gas industry. Thomas started in 1976 as a Union Journeyman Pipefitter at Local Union #211. In 1980, they joined BP Amoco as a Senior Supervisor of Project Controls, where they were later promoted to Senior Planning Supervisor. Thomas managed a team responsible for planning, scheduling, cost controls, contracts, and procurement for turnarounds and major capital projects. In 2001, Thomas transitioned to Onpoint Industrial Services (formerly known as WTMC) as an Operations Manager of Process Development and Integration, Trainer, and Consultant in Project Controls. Thomas was also responsible for managing a cost team and acting as a project controls advisor for clients. Additionally, Thomas is an expert in TRACK Software's "Forecaster" Cost/Forecasting Module. Thomas later joined Onpoint at Valero Houston in 2001 as a Senior Lead Cost Engineer. Thomas has a strong background in project controls and brings a wealth of experience to their roles.
Thomas Pryor started their education in 1973 and attended Stephen F. Austin State University until 1975, studying economics. From 1974 to 1979, they enrolled in the Houston Community College and the Pipefitter LU#211 Apprenticeship School, where they pursued a Journeyman Pipefitter/Welder degree in general pipefitting and welding. Thomas then attended Alvin Community College from 1979 to 1982, obtaining an Associate of Science degree in Math/Economics/Real Estate.
In terms of additional certifications, Thomas Pryor obtained the AACEI Cost Engineer certification from AACE International in January 2007. In January 2005, they acquired the Primavera P6 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management Essentials certification from both Worldwide Turnaround Management Company and Oracle. Additionally, in 2002, they served as the Past President of the Houston Area Primavera Users Group, an institution associated with the Houston Area Primavera User's Group.
