Marcia Barros Gomes

Marcia Barros Gomes is an experienced executive in information technology, currently serving as the Executive Manager of Information Technology at ONS - Operador Nacional do Sistema Elétrico since July 2009. In this role, Marcia oversees the IT strategy and operations, including corporate architecture, AI, data solutions, IT governance, project management, and cybersecurity, while leading a digital transformation journey. Previously held positions at ONS include Senior Manager for IT Architecture and Security and IT Solution Manager, emphasizing team development and improving cross-departmental IT relationships. Marcia began their career as a Systems Analyst at Task Sistemas de Computação, later becoming IT Manager at Icatu Hartford Seguros SA, where strategic IT planning was a key responsibility. Marcia holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Systems Analysis from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro and an MBA in Strategy Management of the Brazilian electrical sector from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro.
