Dr. Charles Camisa is a graduate of Cornell University and Mount Sinai School of Medicine. He was an associate professor of Medicine at Ohio State University. From 1987 to 2006, Dr Camisa was a staff Dermatologists at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. He was the Director of the Dermatology Residency Program from 1989 to 2006. From 1990 to 2006, he was the Vice Chairman of the Department of Dermatology at the Cleveland Clinic. From 2004 to 2019, Dr. Camisa was recognized as one of "America's Top Doctors" by CastleConnelly. In 2005, he was voted Dermatology Practitioner of the year by the Florida Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery. Throughout his career, Dr. Camisa has contributed to the field of dermatology immensely. He is the author of over 140 peer-reviewed articles and textbook chapters on skin and oral diseases as well as the founder of the "Camisa Disease" which is a rare genetic variant of Vohwinkle's.
